Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-man: Homecoming was incredible! It was so refreshingly different from any of the other Spider-man movies! They were mostly good as well, but this one capitalized on the fact that Peter Parker’s learning and dealing with school while dreaming of being a hero. The humour in it played a huge role in making it a lighter movie, while still dealing with a pretty popular and meaningful villain. Another cool part of the movie was how it felt like a direct continuation of Civil War… almost like it was a tie-in comic to Civil War.

Spider-man finally being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was clearly a factor in the storyline, as it had cameos of Captain America and Iron Man.

When I watched the trailers, I was a little worried that Iron Man would be overplayed and that they would include him too much in cleaning up messes, but he wasn’t included as much as I thought he would be and it gave Spider-man a chance to be more independent, which I thought was awesome. Since it was such a different type of movie, I can’t really compare to the other Spider-mans, but it is definitely up there as one of the best, if not the best. Watch it!
